To all the U9 – U18 teams of Hakoah Sydney City East FC

We would like to invite you to the first home game of the New South Wales Premier League 1 season.

This weekend we will take on the might of Rockdale City Suns in the Football New South Wales Match of the Round. Rockdale is a very well established club in the NPL1 competition and over the years have proven to be title contenders on several occasions, and this season will be no different with ex Sydney FC and Socceroo play maker Paul Reid as their player coach. Rockdale had a 2-2 draw with last years grand finalists Bonnyrigg White Eagles last Saturday.

As a club which is new to this elite competition, we feel the need to ask you to give us every bit of vocal support, not only this weekend against Rockdale but for the rest of the season at each home game. Our club captain Neil Jablonski and vice-captain Brad Walker are fantastic role models to each player registered with Hakoah, and to help both these leaders we are asking you to bring yourself and your family to watch a very entertaining game of football against Rockdale City Suns on Saturday evening.

We have waited a long time for this amazing club Hakoah to reach the heights of the NPL1 competition for the first time in 30 years, and as the head coach of the 1st grade team I can assure you that Hakoah will be an entertaining team and we will be a very strong team to beat at “Fortress Hensley” throughout the season. Along with your support and commitment to each home game, we would like to hear the Hakoah club song belted out of the change room at each home game after each hard fought win, and with you ever present this can be a very realistic dream. We also encourage each player of Hakoah to come and visit the team and coaching staff before the game begins, you are welcome to soak up the atmosphere of the changing rooms prior to the team’s warm up. For the first game of the season I would also like to ask each player present to come and form a guard of honour tunnel for the 1st team to walk through before they go into battle on the field.

Unfortunately only Hakoah registered players are allowed in the change room area and to form the tunnel, as FNSW regulations prohibit any other access to those areas. So, we ask all players to please participate, but have your family and friends support the team from the stands.

So come one and come all to support your club in the fight to win club championship points each week, so that the dream of playing elite representative football can stay alive and well in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

On behalf of everyone involved at the club, we look forward to seeing all the players and families this coming Saturday at Hensley Playing Field for a 7:00pm kick off against Rockdale City Suns.

Kind Regards

Mark Robertson
